Federico Joselevich Puiggrós is a Technology Artist. Developer, with an intense work on that tiny line that joins (or divides) the technology and the culture. He has been part of different art groups. The main ones are area3. With area3 he participated in projects that goes from the Contemporary Art Museum of Barcelona (MACBA), the development of the external communication on the mediahouse for the Massachussets Institute of Technology-IaaC, etc. He had also participated on multiple events and festivals like Ars Electronica, Venezia Bienalle, Onedotzero, Museum’s Night at Buenos Aires, Sónar, Benicassim, OFFF and Artfutura.
He was awarded with the first prize on New Artists Barcelona 2002, with area3 for the work World Wall Painters, awarded with the prize for construction on the installation Los Aparatos at the medialab of the Spanish Cultural Center in Buenos Aires with Julia Vallejo Puszkin in 2010, a mention on the second Kosice Bienale for the work Saudade do Mar with Julia Vallejo Puszkin in 2012, the first prize on EcoArteUrbano for the installation/performance station 96 with Omar Panosetti in 2013, the first prize on the third Kosice Bienale with Emphaty Sounds in 2014, a mention on the ArCiTec contest for the work The river’s Ink with Omar Panosetti in 2014, selected by the Argentine cultural development fund in 2014 to develop the installation The Tubedroide, the stars’ bells, scenic mechanisms on Las Bernardas given by Premios Teatros del Mundo 2016.
Also developed the project Passus Exilii, an installation that analyses with criticism the integration of the exiled, the software 96 frames for performances on live stop motion, and several (co)participations in shows with Liza Casullo, Guillermo Pesoa, Santiago Vázquez, Nicolás Varchauvsky, Carlos Ann among others. He has an extense trajectory as a teacher, in particular with digital and electronic art. He teaches at the Fines Arts Faculty in the National University of La Plata Argentina and National University of Quilmes and National, Argentine.
